Remote Coach

Welcome to….. "remote coach"

This is a new service for surf sports athletes who want to reach their athletic potential in events such as Board Paddling (Junior & Senior), Ski Paddling, Multi-disciplined Ironman / Ironwoman (Oceanman) and Surf Swimming.

Simply send us a Mini DV taped copy of you paddling (board / ski) to our Coaching Office for a full assessment of your current Surf Sports performances across both flat water and surf environments….

Once the evaluation has been completed, a unique and professional DVD feedback presentation will be produced and posted back to you to be used and incorporated into your next training session. This DVD presentation will become your personal surf sports coach at home, and the more you watch it, the more powerful the coaching feedback will be, especially with ongoing support.

Each DVD Coaching Feedback will include:

• A personal greeting from Shannon Eckstein (2008 World and Australian Ironman Champion) as well as information on Pre-carnival preparation and Nutrition and post-event Recovery methods.
• Visual Comparisons using advanced split screens between your current paddling techniques and those of the likes of elite competitors, Shannon Eckstein, Jacob Lollback and Alyse Bennett using cutting edge IT software. (broken down to 30 frames per second)
• Direct feedback drawn onto the paddling images (screen) to help with the understanding of the more complex concepts and to highlight where improvements can be made / comparisons made.
• Professional comment / feedback through clear voice-over which highlights strengths and weaknesses of your paddling techniques.

1. Complete the attached information sheet and send it to us with a Mini DV tape of your specific paddling technique / surf skills plus the appropriate service fee*.

 

2. Once in receipt of your package, remote coach will carefully analyse and evaluate your paddling / surf skills and reply with a written report / checklist outlining strengths / weaknesses as well as specific areas for improvement.

 

3. Additionally, we will highlight specific skills & drills which support the comments made on the DVD. These can be practiced during training on your local waterways.

 

4. The written report (Checklist), remote coach DVD, suggested specific skills & drills, and your original video footage will be posted back to you.

 

5. Once posted, we will send you an email and Shannon Eckstein will call you to let you know your remote coach DVD has been sent.

6. remote coach will again contact you within 8 weeks to see how your training is progressing.
